The Department is divided into the following organisational groupings:

• Parks and Wildlife Service, Crown Land Services.
• Biosecurity and Product Integrity Division, Information and Land Services Division, Resource Management and Conservation Division, and Water and Marine Resources Division.
• Corporate Communications Branch, Corporate Services Division (incl. Human Resources, Finance, Facilities and Information Services), Policy Division, Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, Heritage Tasmania and Aboriginal Heritage Tasmania.
• EPA Division and Environment Protection Authority.
