Our Quarantine Barriers

Tasmania has an overseas quarantine barrier, administered by the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS), and a stringent interstate barrier. Quarantine Tasmania runs an integrated service, in cooperation with AQIS, in operating these barrier services. They cover both commercial and non-commercial movements, including visitors to the State and the postal service.
