Spatial Information Foundations Sub-projectsThe Spatial Information Foundations project is being implemented through seven inter-dependent sub-projects, relying on a number of common and/or compatible components that will enhance the core infrastructure of the LIST. |
1 | Services | implementation of new web services to support the delivery of spatial information from distributed sources, including address validation services |
2 | Mapping | development of a modern web mapping interface for the visualisation and future integration of an increased range of spatially-enabled information |
3 | Access | development of a structured framework of security and access control for viewing and downloading spatial information |
4 | Directory | delivery of a contemporary, web-based data and services directory that enables discovery, access and download of spatial resources |
5 | COP | development of a web-based view of shared emergency services information (Common Operating Picture) for operational planning and incident management |
6 | Cadastre | migration to an upgraded property boundary database (numeric cadastre) capable of supporting spatially-enabled planning information |
7 | Imagery | development of a sustainable strategy for the ongoing acquisition and high-speed delivery of remotely sensed imagery |
